BAY AREA CLASSICAL ARTIST ATELIER April 25-29th 2016
10am -5pm Monday- Friday
Join me for a week of figure drawing at the Bay Area Classical Artist Atelier April 25-29th 2016.
In this workshop students will be given a greater understanding of the human figure by drawing from life for 5 consecutive days as I demonstrate the creation of a figure drawing. Over the course of the week I will go over the ideas behind the block- in process and the human proportional system. I will give individual critique and advice to each student in the workshop helping him/her to evaluate his/her skills. One afternoon will be spent at Stanford University studying individual pro-sections and cadavers.
"The purpose of this exhibition is to bring together the emerging leaders in today’s Realist Revival. With the nude human figure as the origin of inspiration, these artists offer us highly accomplished technical demonstrations and diverse visions. The individual works exhibited display a cross-section of styles representative of the pedagogies of the world’s foremost traditional art academies: The Gage Academy, the Florence Academy of Art, Studio Incamminati, the Grand Central Atelier, the Art Students League and the Repin Academy".
